Keeton Bartol, a resident of Warsaw, is the son of Brenden and Dora Bartol. He is a junior at Purdue University and is working toward a bachelor’s degree in political science.

As a legislative intern, Bartol corresponds with constituents through phone calls, letters and emails while also staffing committee hearings and floor proceedings.

“Meeting interns from our community who are working at the statehouse is always exciting,” Nisly said. “Young hardworking Hoosiers like Keeton are an essential part of keeping the statehouse running smoothly every year. I encourage students from our district to apply to take part in an opportunity that allows them to experience how our state government works.”

Each year, the House of Representatives offers paid internship opportunities to college, law school and graduate students and recent college graduates for the duration of the legislative session.

“This internship has been a great opportunity to apply what I’ve learned in school outside the classroom,” Bartol said. “Working for the Indiana House of Representatives has given me the chance to continue my education by learning how state government operates.”
